The Work:
As Systems Engineer, you will:
• System Engineer to perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of a work product in technical process areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288.
• Develop and deliver work product in this customer suite of systems products in the ISO/IEC 15288 Process areas.
• Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of the Customer suite of systems technical design.
• Design and implement hardware solutions, including documentation, testing and modification, document designs, including schematics, mechanical drawings, cable assemblies, parts lists, and test and evaluate hardware designs to ensure proper operation.
• Assist in the end-to-end integration of complex electronic systems by interpreting technical requirements and transforming detailed wiring diagrams into fully operational solutions, aligning with ISO/IEC 15288 Technical process areas.
• Collaborate with engineers to support the design, assembly, and integration of cable harnesses and multi-chassis system architectures, ensuring alignment with system-level requirements and configuration management standards.
• Conduct system-level troubleshooting, verification, and performance testing, both in lab environments and during live deployments.

Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience
OR
A High School Diploma or GED plus ten (10) years of general system engineering experience (any
Process Area).
OR
A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience
OR
A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an
accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience.
RF Engineering:
• Shall design and implement hardware and
software solutions, including documentation, testing
and modification, document designs, including
schematics, mechanical drawings, cable assemblies,
parts lists, etc., and test and evaluate hardware and
software designs to ensure proper operation.
• A minimum of three (3) years engineering experience
Within the last five (5) years:
• A minimum of three (3) years of
experience in three (3) of the specializations
listed in Table C (Appendix C). A BS degree
in engineering, telecommunications, or related
technical field may be substituted for
experience in one specialization.
• A minimum of three (3) years Integrated
Circuit Board design and development
experience (see table D Appendix C)
• Within the last 3 years, iii. (U) A minimum of
two (2) years development, integration, testing,
and/or installation experience to include
generating system/component specifications,
recommending solutions, and preparing and
conducting test plans (stand-alone, DT&E and
OAT&E).
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience
with the functionality and inter-processing of
packet- and circuit-based HW & SW solutions
to include configuring, changing, and
optimizing solutions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $97,100 - $171,235. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
