Job Description:
Sierra7 is seeking a Configuration Manager to join our team and work with the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture Blood Establishment Computer Software (VBECS) team for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this position, the Configuration Manager will work with the team and be responsible for configuration management support services to the VBECS Product and ensure best practices, standards, and regulations are adhered to. This includes source control, build management, software and system versions and configuration management, as well as deployment and release procedures. Additionally, the Configuration Manager will facilitate Change Management Committee meetings to review tasks in Azure DevOPS and document any action items and notes from stakeholders.
Requirements:
Required skills: Demonstrated success as a Configuration Manager Comfortability working with a team to formulate solutions to complex problems Experience working with customers, users and project leads in analyzing, designing, implementing and supporting IT business applications and systems Experience with software lifecycle management tools Experience with creating baselines for systems and managing consistency between environments Requirements documentation and traceability Agile software development lifecycle experience building and managing user stories based on business, functional and technical requirements Experience with cloud systems (Azure) Must have Sharepoint experience Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting, Business or related technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education) Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience Experience working in VA or other Government agency [desired] Experience with VistA and blood bank software/documentation [desired] Ability to obtain a Government public trust clearance.
