Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Description:You will be the Mechanical Engineer for the Precision Fires Launchers team. Our team is responsible for designing and implementing production and Industrial Engineering Services programs, delivering critical components of the US Army's precision fire missile artillery system.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Mechanical Engineering and Product Design support, collaborating with the engineering team to drive program success. Your expertise will focus on 3D CAD design, drawing preparation, and supplier support.

Your responsibilities will include:
• 3D model manipulation and design
• Interacting with the engineering team and suppliers
• Drawing preparation and release
• Shop liaison and tolerance analysis
• Some travel to suppliers and production sites

This position is in Grand Prairie, TX.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
An ME or AE Bachelor of Science Degree with mimimum 2 years experience

Experience in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and PLM (Windchill)

Fluent in MF Office Software Tools

Familiarity with GD&T principles, engineering change process experience.
Desired Skills:
Experience in ground vehicle desing, production support, and manufacturing liaison

Experience supporting troubleshooting and supplier engagement a bonus.

MRB dispositioning experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
