Job Description:

Reporting to the CFO, the Sr. Director of Finance is responsible for general day to day finance work products of the team with ad hoc analysis and support as needed. This individual will play a key role in creating models and analysis to help the business improve company performance, accelerate its growth, and drive decision making processes. The Sr. Director of Finance will ensure required resources and effective processes are in place to execute and meet deadlines on the finance goals and objectives. They will report/present project data and analysis to management.

This resource should be a self-motivator, be inquisitive, and collaborate in a team environment. Individual is expected to be very critical of all source data, using evidence that has been well researched rather than just providing self-opinion.

Position Responsibilities: Performs financial analysis support to understand and solve complex circumstances and provides analysis of key information to Management Works with Accounting, Contracts, Program Management, FP&A, Pricing, and the Business Units in solving complex issues Assists project leadership in resolution of issues involving cost, schedule, & changes Analyzing abilities: The ability to work with large volumes of data, analyze trends, and variances to produce reports timely as part of the standard monthly reporting Budgeting and Forecasting responsibilities in support of corporate objectives Dealing with problems: Working with company leadership to walk through analytical trends and
data to provide them the best information possible Perform process improvement and implement automation where possible to improve team effectiveness and speed of reporting Ensure compliance with the Company's financial policies and procedures to include revenue recognition policies
Provide insight and recommendations around financials and financial impacts

Requirements:
Must be a self-starter with ability to define tasking, manage workload from multiple sources, and independently resolve multifaceted situations Ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to multi- task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities Ability to adapt to a changing environment Must have excellent relationship building skills with the ability to support and interface with managers at senior levels (e.g., director, senior director, VP, CXO) Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written (technical/financial) communication skills High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (all programs), especially Excel Earned value management and related tools such as Cobra Experience with core program structure and establishment such as work breakdown structure, organizational breakdown structure, requirements traceability matrix, integrated master schedule Mergers & Acquisition integration preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred 10+ years of related experience with financial management, business management and/or project control experience Government Contracting - knowledge of various contract types and wrap rate structures including a cost-plus environment Experience in designing, developing, and implementing project finance processes and controls Experience with internal and external audits from a program financial perspective Why Join Sierra7?
