Job Description:

The Sr. Software Engineer to supports the sustainment and enhancement of the various applications (eCMS) which allows for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to procure goods and services to continue their support of the veteran community and those that serve them.

Position Responsibilities: Analyze business needs and user stories to identify technical solutions Participate in the requirements definition process to better understand the customer needs Develop, deliver, and maintain Product Production Source Code. Triage defects, identify and implement resolutions Utilize best practices to check code in and out of source control each day Ensure team follows established team-developed coding and software tools standards Ensure developed work products in adherence to established security and quality control standards for software development Ensure developed work products in adherence to Section 508 coding standards and tools Create formal design documentation, as required Create interface control documents, as required Analyze areas for process improvement and identify technical solutions Work collaboratively across the team and with the customer. Support all project reporting requirements

Requirements:
Experience with the following coding languages / technology: C# Microsoft .NET NET Core NET MVC Web API Web Forms AngularJS React Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Azure DevOps Cloud Systems (Azure/AWS) Experience with Agile development, DevSecOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Familiarity with Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) [desired] Familiarity with Automated Testing [desired] Experience as a Software Engineer with strong communication skills who is comfortability interfacing with the client and working with a team to formulate solutions to complex problems with an aptitude for problem resolution Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree - Computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline [required] 5 years of experience Experience working in VA [desired] Ability to obtain a Government clearance [required] Why Join Sierra7?
