Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for a SETA/Systems Integrator with a blend of programmatic and technical skills to support an important and exciting mission area for our customer. The successful candidate will work with the customer to help develop, recommend, and implement process improvements for end-to-end software and hardware developments. The position requires the candidate to actively engage with a variety of customers each day to learn the nuances of each project, and to help facilitate collaboration between operations and engineering organizations. The customer is migrating to a common baseline, and the candidate will help with this change and communicating it to stakeholders to help them understand it. The end goal is to help drive engineering, integration, and programmatic rigor to ensure systems that are delivered work and achieve objectives.
Qualifications
Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly to be considered Bachelor's Degree or experience can be substituted for the degree Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience Ability to identify and implement programmatic approaches to improve communication and execution of technical development and 0&M efforts (examples include integrated project schedules, risk management trackers, communication plans, action item trackers, dependency trackers and technical system roadmaps) Strong systems engineering skills and technical acumen with software development projects to include familiarity with agile systems Ability to recognize a good or bad requirement and advise the customer on how to ensure well written and testable requirements are developed Ability to review Statements of Work and advise the customer on how to ensure they are comprehensive and will lead to the outcome the customer desires Ability to help monitor tasks and reduce task backlogs and help the customer transition projects from waterfall to an agile methodology Ability to apply programmatic and systems engineering skills to develop, recommend and implement process improvements for end-to-end software/hardware development efforts which could include 0&M (e.g. lab support, system monitoring and security) Ability to author User Requirements Documents (URDs), Systems Requirements Documents (SROs), Requirements Verification Traceability Matrices (RVTMs), test plans, procedures and reports, and project management plans Desired Skills: Knowledge in telecommunication systems, network engineer or cellular mobile core technologies
