SAIC is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in Hanahan, SC.
This role will support the USMC Installation Counter small Unmanned Aircraft System (I-CsUAS).
USMC Installation Counter small Unmanned Aircraft System (I-CsUAS) will support PM-GBAD to procure the design, installation, and long-term sustainment services to fully support Installation-Counter small Unmanned Aircraft System (I-CsUAS). This includes the integration, delivery, and sustainment of mission optimized I-CsUAS solutions to meet the evolving technology and operational requirements of small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) identification and response capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Researches, designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. Conducts experimental tests on equipment and evaluates results. Develops specifications for selecting components and equipment to use. May also review vendors' abilities to support development. Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. Prepares deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met. Reviews all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness and proper signatures. May structure and maintain databases. Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status. Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and Nine (9+) years experience in the description of work above. Experience researching, designing, developing, evaluating and testing a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment Active Secret Clearance. Desired:
Valid UAS license (107)
