LMI seeks a Facilities Drawing Technician to assist a federal client in the National Capital Region. Current TS clearance required; candidate must be in National Capital Region.

Responsibilities
The Facilities Drawing Technician is responsible for the creation, management, and maintenance of building layouts, architectural floor plans, and facilities documentation using AutoCAD and Revit. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that all building designs and modifications are accurately documented and maintained in a centralized system.
Representative responsibilities:
AutoCAD / Revit Drafting & Design: Create, modify, and update detailed building layouts, architectural plans, and facility drawings using AutoCAD & Revit. Ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings, adhering to the client's CADD standards and project requirements.Document Management: Establish and maintain a document management system to track changes, revisions, and updates to building layouts and facility documentation. Implement version control procedures to ensure that the most current and accurate plans are readily available to project teams. Maintain a comprehensive archive of all building and facility drawings, including historical versions.Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of building layouts, including mechanical (HVAC & controls), plumbing, electrical, structural, and communications plans. Coordinate with compliance teams to incorporate necessary regulatory requirements into the drawings.Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews and audits of drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards. Implement quality control measures to prevent errors and discrepancies in building layouts and facility documentation. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements in drawing standards and document management processes.Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or associate degree or higher focusing on computer design, mechanical, electrical or civil engineering, or equivalent. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, demonstrated by 5+ years of related CADD/BIM experience. Certification with Autodesk or another CAD tool (e.g., REVIT 3D, MicroStation). (AutoCAD Preferred) Knowledge of facility components and assets; proficient in reading and understanding facility floor plans Experience with document management systems and version control. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders. Ability to work on customer site.*This position requires an active TS clearance*
