Eaton is seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer for its Electrical Systems and Services Commercial Distribution Products and Assemblies Group. The Operational Excellence Engineer position will be located in Greenwood, SC at our Maxwell facility.
The Operational Excellence Engineer is responsible for developing and providing assistance with the creation and improvements to manufacturing procedures and processes through the use of our continuous improvement framework at the Greenwood - Maxwell plant. This includes material layout, troubleshooting, new machine installations, repair oversight, product quality improvements, compliance with government regulations, and assisting with Environmental Health and Safety initiatives (such as ergonomic and equipment safety).

You will deploy the Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS), Eaton Quality Systems (EQS) and MESH tools to improve productivity, quality and safety.
You will specify, design, quote, order, oversee installation, troubleshoot and debug equipment for use in manufacturing.
You will lead teams to completion of projects such as Continuous Improvement, Ideas Program, Maintenance Rapid Improvement Events, & ProLaunch for new product development.
You will develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and business processes; develop and implement improvements through improved layouts and material handling procedures and train operators on new procedures and the operation of equipment.
You will plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility.
You will develop and implement safety, health, ergonomics, and environmental improvements within the manufacturing facility.
You will serve on special committees and manufacturing area teams to help improve the plant operation and work environment to meet strategic goals and objectives.
