Job Title: SYSTEMS ENGINEER / SOFTWARE ENGINEER (AAW/BMD)

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading provider of automated software testing, data analysis and cybersecurity solutions for complex defense systems, is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled professional with AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense (AEGIS BMD/MDA) experience in any of the following disciplines: System Design, Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, Performance Analysis, Software Development and Integration and Test. This position requires a dynamic individual who can contribute to all phases of development of IDT’s automated test and analysis technologies.

The following qualifications are of specific interest:

Fundamental understanding of how BMD systems function and operate, as well as specific expertise within one or more principal functional areas: Radar Signal Processing, Track, Characterization and Discrimination, Search and Detect, Link Integration, Mission Planning, Command and Control, Engagement Coordination, and Missile Communications and Control
Experience with detailed performance analysis and/or design of BMD systems through creation and/or maintenance of advanced performance simulations, or analysis scripts, using industry standard tools and software languages (MATLAB, C++, JAVA)
Versed in performing analysis and report-outs for key system test events, regardless of where they occur within the program lifecycle. This includes simulation based testing (Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews), lab-based testing (System Demonstrations, Engineering Assessments), and live system testing (Flight Test Missions, Flight Track Exercises) events
Knowledge of System Modeling using SysML, specifically how to apply it for architecture definition and behavior description of complex systems
Experience in analytics development for large-scale data systems with demonstrated ability to implement automated analysis in software, including required database architecture and design
Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Math.

Positions are available in IDT’s Arlington, VA and Mt. Laurel, NJ offices. Approximately 15% travel time may be required.
