SUMMARY
The Jr. Systems Engineer will provide support in a variety of areas. These include hands on assembly of equipment into commercial and MIL racks, cabling components, aiding in the design and fabrication of necessary hardware and testing of completed racks. The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Work as part of a team. Aid in the development and fabrication of equipment associated with engineering initiatives/production projects. Must be mechanically inclined and proficient with a wide variety of common tools. Responsible for documenting all work performed providing concise, accurate and sufficient detail. Responsible for documenting all configuration changes ensuring the information is detailed and accurate. Responsible for utilizing all applicable security procedures while performing in the facilities.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Systems Engineer shall have the ability to work independently and in a team environment and complete a substantial body of work. Familiarity with and usage of a variety of tools and test equipment. Ability to accept and respond to new emergent and unique project task requirements. Ability to present ideas clearly and succinctly both in writing and verbally to co-workers, team members, internal department groups. Ability to use a variety of office automation software, i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. to accomplish technical and support work. May require occasional travel. Other duties as assigned.




Required Skills
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. The Systems Engineer (SE) shall have three (3) years of experience in facility and computer system design, network design, and engineering of tactical weapon systems components. Must have or be able to attain a Secret DOD security clearance. Experience with AutoCAD or Visio.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have or be eligible for security clearances. May require occasional travel.
