Job Title: Translation Project Manager

Details:

A Translation Project Manager job in Parsippany, NJ is currently available through Belcan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects utilizing Content Management Systems (CMS) and structured authoring. To be considered for this role, you will have a solid understanding of translation project management including a minimum of five years of experience working with translation vendors from the business and/or vendor perspective. Must have experience managing projects utilizing Content Management Systems (CMS) and structured authoring. The ideal candidate is fluent in more than one language and is sensitive to cultural diversity. Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary.

Translation Project Manager job duties:
•Organizing documents and preparing for submissions to translation vendors.
•Coordinating translation projects (including, but not limited to: scheduling, data management, external vendor communications, administrative tasks).
•Ensuring that documentation is controlled and produced according to specifications and internal quality system requirements.
•Work with the Localization Content Manager, internal stakeholders and external translation resources to resolve linguistic issues, track project schedules, maintain project records and documentation.
•Providing back-up support for additional Content Management Team activities (like proofreading) as required.

Qualifications:
•Minimum of five years of project management experience in the translation industry.
•Must be fluent in more than one language.
•Experience working at a LSP/Translation vendor or extensive experience managing translation projects within a large medical device/life science company.
•Managing various projects end-to-end and collaborate with vendors, production and cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment.
•Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, translation workflows, CAT and terminology tools (in particular SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, XTM Cloud, WordFast).
•Knowledge and experience working with XML, HTML, XLIFF and other Translation Memory file formats.
•Preparation and maintenance of linguistic assets (Translation memories and files, glossaries, style guides, alignments, terminology databases, CMS localization).

Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical or medical device (packaging and software/app) related translation projects.
