One of YRCI's clients, with offices in Washington, D.C., is seeking a full-time Records Management Specialist to provide onsite support.
The Role
Provide records management support for litigation, appellate, adjudication case files and other legal opinions and records related to legal policy. Adhere to policy/procedures for naming, managing and organizing legal and general records in the physical locations and on shared drives. Conduct records inventories and apply approved disposition schedules. Ensure compliance under the National Archives and Records Administration ( NARA) regulations and agency-specific records management policies. Carry out the existing project plan, records filing system and conduct reviews/assessments of the physical record locations/libraries and shared drives for compliance with regulations/policies and standard operating procedures Identify records eligible for disposition on the shared drive and physical locations and complete required record disposition forms ( SF-135, SF-128 and agency-specific forms) Prepare and track record files for offsite retirement, transfer, storage and retrieval. Ensure compliance under the NARA issue standards in 36 CFR, and agency-specific records management policies. What You Need to Bring to the Table
Must have one ( 1) full year of experience in the following areas: Federal Records Management Administering federal records, conducting inventories, applying NARA-approved record schedules and file plans, and carrying out appropriate record dispositions Participating in the development of requirements for electronic filing/recordkeeping systems Advising Team Lead and Agency officials regarding records management issues Preparing progress/status report and mapping file rooms Experience with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint and Excel is required NARA's Certificate of Federal Records Management Training is preferred CRM Certification or College degree preferred A current NACI level clearance or higher is preferred Electronic Records experience is a plus
