DXC Technology has an immediate need in our US Public Sector group for a Senior Compliance Specialist within any office nationally (Location: Herndon, VA). Working within Contracts and Legal in a matrix environment.

You will mainly handle a wide variety of contractual and compliance issues arising from the company's business activities in the federal government arena that involves the Service Contract Act (SCA).

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Interacting with a multitude of internal DXC groups, and who is effective communicating and influencing at the executive level.
• Significant practical experience in administering SCA, preferably for a large organization
• Working with Global Procurement (GP) to resolve supplier questions about proposed SCA mappings
• Working with Contracts to ensure current Wage Determinations (WD) are sent to GP and flowed down to subcontractors
• Overseeing annual review of SCA rates and changes, and ensure Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) filed with government if appropriate
• Working independently to resolve SCA-related questions coming from the account and GP (with HR and Legal
consultation as necessary)
• Maintain tracking of SCA statistics (# of DXC SCA employees and locations) in concert with Compliance
• Ensuring Wage Determinations (WDs) are posted at DXC sites housing SCA-covered workers
• Serving as general SME on SCA issues for multiple accounts
• Help identifying/assessing risk associated with workforce concerns and SCA-related business decisions; participate in
audit activity as required
• Supporting account in applying industry best-practices related to SCA, with implementation experience on a large scale
(1000+ SCA-covered positions)
• Mapping challenging SCA labor categories for non-exempt positions for DXC employees
Given the complexity of this role, the individual must:
• Possess practical, independent judgment and self-confidence.
• Be entrepreneurial and willing to find a practical solution to every business and legal question.
• Be able and willing to solve challenges; able to work with minimal direction and supervision; proactive, not reactive.
• Be forward-looking in issue identification and avoidance (in addition to managing issues that have already arisen).
• Also be involved at the outset and throughout the development of new business arrangements and opportunities.
• Provide counsel to the employees of the corporation (particularly sales, contracts and operations).
• Exercise sound business judgment.
• Be enthusiastic and committed to growing their career and level of responsibility.

Education and Experience Required
Bachelors degree in a related field.
3+ years of experience in complex contract law, business transactions related to the Service Contract Act (SCA).
Extensive experience relating to SCA in the context of bids and proposals, contract formation, and contract administration.
Preferred experience in legal or working closely with legal teams.

Knowledge and Skills Required
• Ability to identify legal and contractual risk regarding and/or arising from the SCA.
• Ability to provide practical advice and conduct investigations on compliance matters involving federal government labor laws and regulations and restrictions.
• Risk management skills.
• Security Clearance preferred.
