JOB TITLE:      PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER
LOCATION:      NEW YORK, NY
REPORTS TO:  VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
JOB FUNCTION:
The Public Relations Manager is responsible for creating and implementing external and internal media relations and corporate communications efforts and strategy in support of comScore's mission to measure what matters to make audiences, consumer behavior and advertising more valuable. The Public Relations Manager will largely be focused on securing media hits and increasing public recognition of comScore within the mass media and advertising communities, and should have a fundamental knowledge of and experience within the digital and traditional media sectors. A member of the Corporate Communications branch of the overall Corporate Marketing team, the Public Relations Manager will report directly to the VP, Corporate Communications and work closely with the Executive Leadership, Product, Sales, Investor Relations and Corporate teams to translate key messages about comScore's products, initiatives, people, culture and values with internal and external audiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITIES:
Manage development and execution of communications strategies for a range of external and internal materials, including public/media relations and internal communications best practices and protocols Develop and maintain relationships with key media figures across broadcast, print and digital outlets Develop and deliver strategic, customized pitches for various media outlets based on individual corporate and product initiatives Keep up-to-date with business/industry trends within the media, advertising and entertainment sectors Support executive communications needs for internal and external audiences including development of content, presentations and talking points consistent with overall corporate messaging Manage and provide recommendations for corporate memberships, programs and services related to overall corporate initiatives Support Investor Relations efforts, as needed   Be able to apply creative executions to an overall strategy Influence internal and external stakeholders using a thoughtful communication plan in presenting and defending ideas and recommendations Collaborate well in a team environment, but also take initiative and work independently QUALIFICATIONS:
7-10 years of previous relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years of corporate communications/media relations experience B.A. Communications, Public Relations or related field Background in and fundamental knowledge of media and advertising industries Proven experience building and leading internal communications and working collaboratively with a broad range of internal partners in a large, geographically dispersed organization  Functional communication skills in key areas such as public relations, speech writing, and community engagement Proven ability to significantly influence internal and external stakeholders using a thoughtful communication plan to align people or groups About comScore: comScore, Inc. (OTC: SCOR) is a leading cross-platform measurement company that precisely measures audiences, brands and consumer behavior everywhere.
