JOB TITLE: Program Manager (GPS Receiver Modernization)

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

We provide support to the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with modernization of a variety of existing GPS receivers to meet existing DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities. Support is given to the overall project lead and provides support to Integrated Product Teams, conferences, and meetings. There is a potential for liaison work with other AFLCMC Program Offices, and operational units.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing acquisition management support services to ensure the delivery of acquisition services in support of the customer's mission. Services include some or all of the following:
Develop new approaches to problems encountered and support the management of acquisition strategies for assigned projects, as directed by project lead Identify, analyze and make recommendations concerning acquisition process problems, trends, and emerging needs Perform advanced acquisition planning, including market research and consideration of appropriate procurement approaches to satisfy mission needs and customer requirements Analyze requirements, recommend revisions to work statements/specifications, establishment of milestones, and assistance with all phases of procurement planning Implement plans by preparing and reviewing program documents, including detailed acquisition plans and documents, development and production schedules, engineering change proposals, and design studies
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret
Active Secret Clearance Bachelor's Degree At least 7 years related acquisition experience Experience in development, coordination, and execution of major acquisition documentation and processes associated with program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable) and defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives Experience in managing a program in TMRR or EMD Excellent communications skills, both written and verbally Clear understanding of OSD and USAF Acquisition organizations
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years related acquisition experience Knowledge of legislation, regulations, and methods used in federal government acquisition, as well as knowledge of business and industry practices, sources of supply, cost factors, and requirements characteristics Level II DAWIA or Federal Acquisition Certification (Acquisition Program Manager) Experience with GPS systems, weapons, and aircraft integration
WORK LOCATION: Robins AFB, GA
