Job Description:

This position is responsible for providing the technical knowledge and comprehensive management needed to execute Power Systems projects that include significant services such as turnkey projects, installation, testing, upgrades of non-genset equipment and compliance with Industry/Governmental regulations. Some projects may consist entirely of services and not include Cat gensets. The Project Manager's involvement will span the time from receipt of purchase through customer acceptance, including timely, cost-effective management of multiple projects to meet customer requirements. He/she will organize, schedule, coordinate, communicate and lead others to execute projects. T echnical knowledge of electrical power generation, power distribution, system integration design, assembly, installation, commissioning, and Construction project management desired. In addition to working at Chesapeake Power, this position will meet at job sites, customer, vendor and other 3rd party locations. Seeking candidates with 4+ years of industrial/electrical power generation systems construction project management experience preferred. Other similar industries will be considered. 4-year college degree preferred.

Required Skills
Self-starter able to work with limited supervision. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude required; able to read and interpret technical drawings and documents. Able to procure required equipment, accessories and services to execute project; able to understand project costing. A strong sense of urgency and a desire to exceed customer expectations; able to minimize the impacts of a project process on the customer as well as areas within Carter that may be involved in a project. Ability to multi-task while maintaining organized and detailed documentation of all conversations. Experience in conflict resolution with contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors, utility companies, end-users, etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork. Able to travel and work hours required for job and customer demand. Clean driving record and a valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to visit job sites in various states of completion. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. This position may require reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing beside, onto and under a variety of equipment.
