Overview: ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs since 1998.

We are a Small Business DoD contractor and are aggressively seeking candidates to support the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) and provide specialized expertise to complement the organization's inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence.?The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) has overall responsibility for acquiring weapons systems for the Department of the Air Force and serves as the Senior Procurement Executive, the Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) and acquisition representative on the Air Force Council. SAF/AQ oversees the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) and procurement of major Air Force platforms and systems across the full breadth of air and space capabilities. SAF/AQ reports to the Secretary of the Air Force, serves as an agent of the Secretary within assigned policy and program domains, and provides guidance, direction, and oversight for all matters pertaining to the formulation, review, and execution of plans, policies, programs, and budgets within the AQ area of responsibility. SAF/AQ also works in cooperation with the other agencies and organizations within the Secretary of the Air Force and Headquarters Air Force. Program Executive Officers (PEOs) at multiple acquisition centers, to include the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), reports directly to the SAE and the Defense Acquisition Executive (DAE) for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition functions. SAF/AQ works to address immediate and near-term Combat Air Force and Combatant Commander's requirements by managing acquisition projects that are conducted on accelerated timelines, require unique industrial interactions, and coordination and cooperation of other government agencies and organizations.

Place of Performance is at the Pentagon and various Government facilities in the NCR, military installations, and other facilities as may be required.

Proposed Period of Performance is August 2018 through August 2023 (one Base year plus four Option years).

This position is contingent upon Task Order award.

Responsibilities: Candidate is responsible for providing administrative support needed to enable Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) activities to include assisting in editing, publishing, and maintaining SAB reports and briefs, tracking responses/actions from recommendations made by the SAB, processing all documentation for appointments and reappointments and ensuring that SAB activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and directives (FACA, AFI, DoDI, Ethics, etc.).

The tasks for this position include:
a. Collecting, evaluating, and digitally organizing files, papers, briefings, reports, and other materials using Microsoft Office programs. Prepare technical documents for publication and presentation, which includes basic and applied scientific research subject matter.
b. Providing editing and writing support.
c. Compiling reports and recommendations. Assisting with publication review and printing.
d. Developing and maintaining a study master schedule that includes: meetings, key dates, study panel personnel, contact information, and anticipated deliverable and outbrief dates.
e. Planning, organizing, and executing meetings, outbriefs, and events for large groups of people associated with studies, S&T Reviews, and quarterly board meetings.
f. Making hotel reservations, coordinate transportation, and organize meals for large groups of people associated with SAB studies, S&T Reviews, and quarterly board meetings.
g. Requesting the submission or transfer of security clearance information for organizational personnel and track receipt.
h. Assisting with set up and use of information technology (IT) support at meetings and events (Computer, Projector, Screen, and internet or network connection).
i. Researching and analyzing organizational or process issues, and recommend solutions.
j. Proposing ideas to improve studies, S&T reviews, and quarterly board meetings.
k. Researching, analyzing, and reporting on S&T trends that may affect SAB Studies.
l. Researching, analyzing, and providing information on OSD/Air Force scientific and programmatic studies (e.g., Defense Science Board (DSB), Nuclear Regulatory Committee (NRC), and Air Force Studies and Analysis Agency (AFSAA).
m. Writing, reviewing and providing written material for official release.
n. Researching and analyzing trends and factors that affect SAB studies, reviews and resources.
o. Drafting briefings, papers, reports, responses to inquiries, descriptive summaries, meeting minutes, and detailed spreadsheets related to studies, S&T reviews, and quarterly board meetings.
p. Drafting reports and written material associated with Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) requirements.
q. Drafting briefings, papers, reports, responses to official inquiries, and descriptive summaries for MAJCOM, Air Staff, and other senior Air Force and Department of Defense organizations.
r. Providing support to track the Suggestion Program, Freedom of Information Act, and Mandatory Declassification Review Cases. Propose, maintain, and report on travel budget for S&T reviews and study-related travel. Mark, label, secure, file and maintain all classified information associated with S&T reviews and studies using government approved and/or appropriated IT systems and/or storage devices.

Qualifications: • Personnel in this position shall have a Master's degree in a business discipline and at least 10 years of experience in federal Government contracting.
• Personnel in this position shall have expertise in project management and research analysis to include relevant experience in the military or government. They must be familiar with the headquarters Air Force construct, have experience working with senior government executives, a solid understanding of DoD protocol, and experience in conducting detailed studies.

• Top Secret (w/SCI eligibility) Personnel Security Clearance

• Experience in lieu of Degree Allowable Substitutions are :
