Thomson Reuters Special Services, LLC (TRSS) provides customized solutions to select clients utilizing Thomson Reuters' (TR) products and proprietary global content, open source information and trained TRSS content specialists. TRSS content specialists use their access to the proprietary TR content, coupled with available open source information, to conduct research on emerging technology trends and topics, perform supply chain assessments, establish links between companies and people, and conduct in-depth due diligence reports on targeted entities and topics.


TRSS is a wholly owned, independent US subsidiary of Thomson Reuters incorporated in the State of Delaware. As such, it is a separate legal entity and it operates independently from TR. TRSS reports to an independent Board of Directors. It operates pursuant to oversight by the U.S. Department of Defense (“DoD”) in order to provide classified and other highly sensitive services to the U.S. Government. It is fully compliant with DoD Defense Security Service regulations relating to the mitigation of Foreign Ownership, Control and Influence (FOCI). TRSS’ Board of Directors includes former Senior Executive Service leaders from DHS, NRO, FBI, NSC and the White House. The vast majority of TRSS employees hold national security clearances and our work leverages comprehensive access to TR global data systems and databases.
